The Mediterranean port of Santa Pola is situated just below vibrant Alicante on the Costa Blanca coastline, part of the popular region of Valencia.
Critically, Alicante Airport is just a fifteen-minute drive away. Easyjet, BMI Baby and Thomson, amongst others, provide cheap daily flights from airports all over the UK.
Many find that the brief two and a half hour journey from London is quicker than traveling between most UK cities!
Getting here from the Airport
- Car rental is ideal to make the most of your time because it gives you freedom to explore on your own timetable. Car hire firms at Alicante include Europcar and Avis.
- An airport transfer can be arranged in advance and costs less than 30 euros.
- Of course, you can pick up a taxi when you arrive, but expect to pay more than a transfer booked in advance.
- It’s simple to get into Alicante from the Airport, from there, buses to Santa Pola leave every hour.
- You can also take a train from Alicante to nearby Elche, where you can pick up a bus or a taxi.
